What happens after the initial estimate?
If you’re comfortable with the expected construction costs, we’ll begin to prepare a tender package for your project including; working documentation, preparing your specs, detailed inclusions, and exclusions list with the anticipated tender price.
This ensures nothing gets missed, and no extra margins (risk premiums) are added in when the builder is unsure how to price something accurately.
If the expected costs are too high, which is more often the case, we look at ways to value manage.
We send the project out to be quoted by wholesalers of windows, tiles, and flooring. We look at other ways to reduce the cost, like reviewing & optimizing structural engineering.
However, if we are engaged early on in the project, we can work with your designer or one of our partners to make sure this doesn’t happen to you.
